Our Story

Our Unique Approach
Navigator Financial is not your average financial planning firm. We speak, live, and work differently. That’s because we focus on:
- positive influence and impact of wealth
- values as our guide
- impacting our community
- growing clients, not assets under management
This unique approach all started with our founder, Cameron Collier.
Cameron's Story
Cameron Collier, a Decatur native, graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 2001. After additional training in Pensacola, Florida, he became a naval flight officer in carrier-based fighter and attack aircraft.
In other words, a navigator.
While not at the flight controls, as a weapons, navigation, and communications system specialist, Cameron was an essential part of the flight plan. Completing the mission was always a team effort. As a crew, they had to rely on their knowledge, skills, and instruments to navigate difficult situations and decisions.

Plan the flight. Fly the plan.
This is a common motto in naval aviation.
This simple wisdom, along with other lessons learned while in the US Navy, had a profound impact on his approach to finances. After nearly 10 years of active service, it was time to come home. While he continued to serve as an officer in the Navy Reserve, his focus shifted to guiding clients.

Family-Focused
Today, Cameron is an experienced advisor who holds both the Certified Financial Planner™ and Certified Kingdom Advisor® designations. He’s passionate about building stewards, helping clients integrate their faith and finances.
He’s also a family man. Cameron and his wife, Mary, live in Decatur along with their four children.
